Beautiful Day For A Hike

We went on a hike Saturday in our beautiful mountain town.  The weather was perfect.  I'm hoping to be able to climb to the top and camp out this time next year.  I love being in nature and this hiking is starting to be a new love of mine.

The holidays will be here before we know it.  I have somethings I would really like to make, but if it gets done great, but I'm not putting any pressure on myself.  Having family here will be so nice.  I really do miss them.

We had a couple of great friends visit last week and we enjoyed them so much.  It's really nice to get to see people in person, but we still take as much precaution as we can. I'm really thinking this is our new way of  life.

I hope all is health and happy.

How is everyone doing?  I hope you are taking sometime for self care.  Why does it seem so hard to give ourselves the care we need?  I have had to take time to rest and heal as I had surgery last week.  I'm doing great, but it sure does take a lot of energy to heal.

The weather is starting to change.  I feel it more and more each day.  I love Fall.  I love everything about it.  I love the cooler weather getting to throw on a sweater in the early crisp mornings and evenings. The change of colors, etc.  It's just the time to slow down and give ourselves a little more self care.

Just checking in and hoping everyone is healthy and safe.  Take some deep breaths and sometime for yourself.

                                                           This Month is Heating Up

This year we have been working on the courtyard, planting new things and hoping they all come back next year.  Its hard to grow things here in the mountains, we have a lot of sand and rock.  This month, June we have broke a record heat, two days in a row.  I moved here because its supposed to be cool! Ha! It does thankfully cool down at night. Not only are we getting hotter than normal, we are in the bug season. We seem to skip a year and this is the year we are having mosquito season. It will last until the end of July and let me say its crazy.

We just returned from visiting family and friends after over a year. It was such a wonderful time to get to hug everyone.  I missed it so much, yet I really had a hard time being back in large stores, so much traffic everyone in such a hurry. It was really a wake up call, people are so beyond stressed they don't even know they are stressed!! What has happened to us?! All I can say is I loved seeing everyone , but I couldn't wait to get home to the quiet.  It's not perfect where I live, but its quiet.

Thursday is the full moon.  I will be cleaning my altar and setting new intentions .  Getting back into nature as soon as the bugs leave.

Happy New Year 2021

I started the new year off by cleansing and opening the front door to let out the old and welcoming the new.  The moon was bright and it was a really cold night, a perfect way to bring in the new year.  I'm not sure how different 2021 will be, but I'm definitely hoping for the best.

I don't have any New Years resolution, but I'm hoping to continue to be creative. I'm starting a new art journal tomorrow, getting pages prepped to start working on in between doing laundry.  It's going to be a 30 day journal and I'm hoping to start a habit of doing a page a day to play with different marks and writing words etc.  A nice way to start my day, even for a few minutes.

I hope you have a wonderful happy healthy week.
